Brazil could change bankruptcy law to help Oi

Brazil's Minister of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications, Gilberto Kassab said that the federal government may issue a provisional measure to change the bankruptcy law if it has to intervene to help the bankrupt telecom operator Oi. He told Valor Economico that this is a last resort, but should be prepared in case necessary. According to Kassab, the government's priority is to give all the support possible so that Oi can be successful in its judicial debt recovery.
