Brazil ends Nov with 8 mln M2M data terminals

Brazil ended the month of November with 8.175 million M2M data terminals , compared to 6.767 million the year before, according to estimates by Teleco. Claro is market leader with 3.610 million, followed by Vivo (2.274 million), TIM (1.172 million), Oi (964,000), Porto Seguro (95,000), CTBC (56,000) and Datora (5,000). Meanwhile, Brazil's Ministry of Communications and Finance has agreed to reduce taxes over M2M equipment by up to 66 percent, but the document has yet to be approved by the President.
