Brazil extends femtocells consultation

Brazilian telecommunications regulator Anatel extended the deadline for contributions to the public consultation on the proposed standard for using femtocells until 24 February. Under the proposal, femtocells will be managed by mobile operators or special mobile services, holders of authorised spectrum, to ensure improved quality of mobile calls and mobile data traffic in places of high and continuous use, including in homes.
