Monday 22 June 2020 | 15:30 CET | News
A total of 1.47 million PCs were sold in Brazil during the first quarter of 2020, up 16 percent over the same period last year, according to IDC Brasil. The market researcher said the growth comes from increased demand during the Covid-19 pandemic. The increase was even more significant in the corporate segment, with annual growth of 17.2 percent. Of the total PCs sold, 71.9 percent were notebooks and 28.1 percent desktops. For the full year, the forecast is for a 1 percent drop in the corporate market and 5 percent fall in retail.
