Brazil smartphone market expands 11% in Q3

A total 15.1 million smartphones were sold in Brazil in the third quarter, an increase of 11 percent compared to the second quarter and 49 percent compared with the same period last year, according to IDC. In the same period, 4.7 million feature phones were sold in the country. According to research analyst Leonardo Munin, one of the factors that contributed to the popularity of smartphones was the supply of increasingly cheaper devices.
