Brazil surpasses 100,000 mobile base stations

Brazil reached 100,054 mobile base stations in May, after adding 2,758 since the start of the year, according to data from the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) compiled by Teleco. Vivo had the largest number of stations (27,708), followed by TIM (24,858), Claro (20,631), Oi (18,820), Nextel (7,272), Algar Telecom (715) and Sercomtel (50).
