Brazil telecom investment up 7% in 2018

Telecom service providers in Brazil invested BRL 30 billion in 2018, which represents 7 percent growth compared to 2017. The investments were made especially in infrastructure expansion, expansion of coverage and improvement of service quality, despite the challenges imposed by Brazil's high tax burden, which is one of the largest in the world, and the heavy regulatory cost, reports industry association Telebrasil.
