Brazil to be 1st country to have ICANN representation

Brazil will be the first country in the world to have local representation for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the California-based nonprofit organisation that coordinates the Domain Name System (DNS), IP address allocation and performs system management functions for internet root servers. The post of ICANN Stakeholder Management Manager for Brazil will be held by Everton Lucero, a career employee of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry.
