Brazilian antitrust approves 4G network sharing between TIM and Oi

Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) has approved, without restrictions, the network-sharing operation between TIM and Oi for the deployment and provision of telephony and broadband services using 4G technology. Rapporteur Joao Paulo de Resende said the agreement, while presenting some competition concerns, brings efficiency gains, adding that since sharing began, the minute cost of traffic for the customers of both companies has decreased.
