Brazilian fixed broadband connections rise 5% in August

Brazil ended August with 26.5 million fixed broadband connection, a growth of 5 percent over the same month in 2015, according to data published by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). Compared with the previous month, 163,086 new connections were added (+0.62%). The penetration rate for the service amounted to 38.94 percent.
