Brazilian mobile base drops 1.1% in 2019

After two months of growth, the Brazilian mobile telephony base dropped again in December, ending 2019 with 226.67 million Sim cards. The number of mobile users fell by 0.79 percent in the month and by 1.11 percent over the full year, according to data from the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). The mobile penetration rate stood at 96.9 percent.
