Brazilian operators appeal for rapid antenna licensing

Brazilian mobile operators have issued a request to municipal authorities to speed up authorisations for the installation of new antennas, deemed as essential for the continuity and expansion of coverage of telecommunications services. The request is being addressed mainly to large cities, which have more difficulties in installing antennas, such as Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Florianopolis and Manaus, industry group Telebrasil said in a statement.
