Tuesday 3 December 2019 | 13:34 CET | News

Brazilian telecom operators used Black Friday to attract more customers to postpaid and other mobile service plans and to sell fibre broadband, reports Valor Economico. At Telefonica Brasil, there was up to a 50 percent increase in the volume of sales for control, postpaid and fibre plans, as compared to the same campaign the year before.

For its part, rival Claro observed an average growth of 20 percent in relation to last year's figures. The operator also expects that Black Friday will bring higher sales than Christmas for the second year in a row.
