Brazilian regulator requests operators adapt coverage maps to show 5G

Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has issued a memorandum, requesting that Claro, Telefonica/Vivo, and Oi adapt the coverage maps made available to consumers to include areas in which 5G services are provided, reports Valor Economico. Although the frequency auction is planned for 2021, the three operators have launched 5G services commercially, but on a limited scale. Anatel has given operators 60 days to adjust their service coverage maps.
