Brazilian regulator updates fixed telephony tariffs

Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has published the new fixed telephony tariffs to be implemented by concessionaires Oi, Telefonica, Sercomtel and Algar. Based on the new tariffs, Oi will be able to increase prices by up to 2.957 percent, Sercomtel by up to 2.939 percent, Algar by 2.224 percent and Telefonica by 2.278 percent. Anatel also published the new price for calls from public phones, amounting to BRL 0.133.
