Brazil's electro-electronics industry grows 6.2%

The industrial production of the electro-electronic sector in Brazil grew 6.2 percent year-on-year in September, based on IBGE data aggregated by Abinee. Performance was motivated by increases in both the electronic segment (+9.0%) and electrical segment (+3.6%). FromJanuary to September, industrial production in the electrical and electronics sector fell 0.8 percent, due to a 2.8 percent drop in electronics, offsetting the 1.2 percent increase in electricals.
