Brazilian manufacturer IGB Eletronica has announced that its subsidiary Gradiente is launching a new smartphone product family called 'iphone'. In a press release, the company said it registered the brand with the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Inpi) in 2008 and claims it is the exclusive owner of the 'iphone' brand in Brazil.
