Brein, Buma/Stemra endorse new copyright plans, BoF does not

Dutch copyrights group Brein has endorsed the proposals put forth by the ministry of security and justice on approaching copyright and downloading in a different way. Secretary of state Fred Teeven wants to ban the illegal downloading of films, music and digital books. Such a ban is already in place for software and games. Brein said it was for the extended ban. The organisation forecasts that the fight against sites that facilitate uploads will now move to sites that facilitate downloading.
