Breko calls for joint vectoring field test with Telekom

German broadband network operators association Breko is calling for a joint field test of VDSL vectoring technology with Deutsche Telekom to determine the performance and weaknesses of the technology. Manufacturers of vectoring technology claim that it can boost the speed of existing VDSL infrastructure from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Breko president Ralf Kleint said his association would not accept a situation where Telekom has a monopoly on the deployment of vectoring technology.
