Breko renews criticism of high LLU fees set by Telekom

German broadband operator's association Breko has called on the Federal Network Agency BnA to significantly reduce local loop unbundling (LLU) fees in order to promote fibre-optic network roll-out across Germany. Telekom Deutschland filed a new TAL application fee with the BnA on 20 January, that will result in rival operators paying more than 25 percent more for last-mile access for three years from 01 April 2011. In Germany, currently over 10 million phone and broadband connections are delivered via LLU, with Breko members leasing over 6.5 million LLU lines. Breko president Ralf Kleint said
