Breko upgrades bandwidth demand forecast

Germany reached 3.9 million FTTH/B connections at the end of 2017, up by around 1 million from a year earlier. Only 18 percent of the connections were provided by Deutsche Telekom, with alternative operators accounting for the vast majority, according to a study by the broadband industry group Breko. The report also upgraded its forecast for bandwidth demand in the coming years, saying more investment in fibre will be needed.
