Brisanet to bid for 3.5 GHz frequencies in 5G auction

Brazilian regional operator Brisanet is planning to take part in the 5G frequency auction, company president Jose Roberto Nogueira told O Estado de Sao Paulo. It will bid for spectrum in the 3.5 GHz frequency band, which it plans to use in Northeast Brazil, where it is the biggest internet provider. The intention is to offer mobile internet to its 754,000 fixed broadband, pay-TV and telephony customers.
