Brits spend 2 hours 51 mins a day actively using internet

The average Brit spent 2 hours 51 minutes a day actively using the internet at home and work in 1st-half 2015, according to a report from the IAB and UKOM. Mobiles and tablets account for over half (56%) of internet time. The study shows that internet time is split into 1 hour 16 minutes (45%) on PCs/laptops, 1 hour 9 minutes on smartphones (40%) and 26 minutes on tablets (15%). It also shows that 16.7 percent of all UK internet time (1 in every 6 minutes) across computers, tablets and smartphones is spent on social media - up from 12 percent in 2013.
