Brits spend 20 hours, 30 minutes online each week - Ofcom

Ofcom's latest Communications Market Report shows that 2014 saw the biggest increase in time spent online in a decade, with internet users spending over three and a half hours longer online each week than they did in 2013 (20 hours and 30 minutes in 2014, compared to 16 hours and 54 minutes in 2013). Online time has been boosted by increased smartphone and tablet user, with 54 percent of UK homes now having a tablet. Almost two thirds (64%) of online adults say that being online is invaluable for keeping them informed about current issues, and six in ten (60%) say it helps keep them in touch
