Broadband Forum restructures, sets out 2020 strategy

The Broadband Forum has identified a number of new strategy goals in a statement announcing a major restructure as well as its Broadband 20/20 vision. The industry association said technologies such as NFV, SDN, ultra-fast access, IoT and, when formally defined, 5G, would enable the delivery of exciting ultra-fast broadband services in the coming years. In that regard, the Broadband Forum identified ultra-fast infrastructure, intelligent home/small business, seamless converged wireline and wireless networks, performance-assured on-demand IP broadband services and a personalised network
