Broadband reception continues to gain popularity among French TV households – study

A growing proportion of French consumers relies on broadband reception to watch TV, according to the latest survey data published by broadcast authority CSA. Among main TV sets, the share of broadband reception increased to 52.2 percent in the last quarter of 2017, from 51.4 percent in the second quarter. In the same period, DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) lost nearly two percentage points, dropping to a 40.1 percent share, while the satellite platform gained half of a percentage point to reach 20.8 percent.
