Broadcasters, equipment makers ask FCC to adopt ATSC 3.0

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), America's Public Television Stations (APTS) and the Advanced Warning and Response Network (AWARN) Alliance have filed a joint petition at the FCC requesting that local TV stations and TV receiver makers be permitted to adopt the new ATSC 3.0 "Next-Gen TV" standard on a voluntary, market-driven basis.
