Broadnet mulls appeal against NOK 14 mln fine over Tech Mahindra outsourcing breaches

Tuesday 6 February 2018 | 13:39 CET | News
Regional fixed line operator Broadnet said it is considering appealing against a decision by Norwegian communications regulator Nkom to impose a fine of NOK 14 million for serious deviations discovered during its 2017 scrutiny of the so-called Nodnett affair. Broadnet supplies infrastructure to Nodnett, the national emergency communications network. The operator had outsourced certain operations to TechMahindra, and notified Nkom when it found that at least one employee of the Indian firm had incorrect access to its IT systems.
