Brocade unveils data centre switches

Network equipment provider Brocade has unveiled VDX 6720 Data Centre Switches, the Ethernet fabric switching products built for virtualised and cloud-optimised data centres. The Brocade VDX 6720 Data Centre Switches are a family of 10 GbE that revolutionise Layer 2 Ethernet networking to create the Ethernet fabrics. The switches eliminate the need for Spanning Tree Protocol, collapsing the access and aggregation networking layers to create a flat, multipath, deterministic network for virtualised environments. The Brocade VDX 6720 Data Center Switches are available in one or two-rack-unit form
