BSkyB ends FY with 15.53 mln total customers

British Sky Broadcasting added 3.1 million new paid-for subscription products in the year to end June. It added 342,000 net new TV customers. Revenues for the year rose 6.5 percent year-on-year to GBP 7.61 billion, with EBITDA up 1.54 percent to GBP 1.66 billion, and operating profit 5.3 percent higher to GBP 1.26 billion. The operator is lifting dividend to 32.0 pence per share. BSkyB ended the year with a total of 15.53 million customers, up 706,000 from the year before, with retail customers up 342,000 to 11.49 million. ARPU was GBP 576, up from GBP 569.
