BSNL, Data Infosys launch new e-mail service

State-run telecommunications firm BSNL has launched a locally developed e-mail service dubbed XGen, The Economic Times reports. The e-mail service was developed in partnership with IT firm Data Infosys. The service will be provided through Data Infosys' data centre in Jaipur, according to the report. BSNL's broadband subscribers will be able to access the new service. The operator currently has nearly 7.5 million broadband subscribers across India. Subscribers will obtain the basic e-mail box free, which can be upgraded to the advance account with services such as mobile app, mobile chat,
