BSNL targets expansion in postpaid segment this year

Indian state-owned communications carrier Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) expects its postpaid subscribers to represent 10 percent of its overall subscriber base in one year, The Economic Times reports. The postpaid segment currently accounts for 5 percent of BSNL's subscribers. According to the report, the firm's postpaid base has been decreasing due to problems related to billing. The company said that ARPU in the postpaid segment currently reaches nearly INR 400, while in the prepaid segment, ARPU ranges from INR 90-100.
