BSNL to complete 2G, 3G expansion by mid-year

Indian state-owned telecommunications provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) is planning to complete its INR 15 billion 2G and 3G network expansion programme in the eastern and north-eastern states by mid-year, ETTelecom reported. The work will be done under phase seven of the company's expansion plan to transform its TDM-based network to a complete IP-based network. BSNL is expanding its capacity by 10 million GSM lines (2G and 3G) to help increase its subscriber base countrywide. The latest project will boost service quality and capacity in the eastern region of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha,
