BT launches first free Wi-Fi kiosks in London

Tuesday 27 June 2017 | 12:47 CET | News
BT has launched its first InLink kiosks providing public Wi-Fi in London, in Camden High Street. Developed with Intersection, the company behind the LinkNYC service in New York, the kiosks are set to roll out across the UK as replacements for BT's payphones in some areas. They are funded by advertising with Primesight. BT said "hundreds of users" within range of an InLink will be able to access free Wi-Fi at up to 1Gbps.
