BT revenue declines 1 percent to GBP 4.44 billion in Q2

BT reported a group revenue down 1 percent to GBP 4.44 billion in its second quarter to 30 September, compared to GBP 4.49 billion a year earlier, driven by growth in its consumer operations, up 7 percent to GBP 1.06 billion. All other divisions saw a fall in sales, most notably BT Wholesale, which declined by 15 percent to GBP 529 million. The group's EBITDA rose by 1 percent to GBP 1.4 billion, thanks to its cost transformation programme. Operating profit increased by 10 percent to GBP 778 million, and earnings per share declined by 28 percent to GBP 0.056 in the fiscal second quarter from
