BT Sport to use Ericsson PIERO Augmented Reality software

Friday 9 September 2016 | 10:48 CET | News
Ericsson has signed up BT Sport as the first customer for the PIERO Augmented Reality software system. Launched in April, PIERO Augmented Reality enables broadcasters to overlay 3D graphics in real-time during live studio productions and sports games. The graphics are then projected onto the studio floor in 3D allowing broadcasters to illustrate the analysis sequence without cutting away from the studio environment. BT Sport has also signed up to use the PIERO sports graphics software for rugby.
