BTRC acts against international gateway operators again

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has decided to block the service of one international gateway (IGW) operator and limit the services of seventeen others for their failure to pay their dues on time, New Age reported. Out of 23 IGW operators that were asked to deposit dues worth around BDT 5 billion by 26 August, only five operators deposited BDT 1.13 billion by the deadline, said BTRC officials.
