BTRC cuts incoming international call rates

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has cut incoming international call termination rates and introduced a new revenue-sharing structure on a trial basis, according to bdnews24.com. The lowest international incoming call termination rate has been reduced to USD 0.015 per minute from USD 0.030. The BTRC will receive 40 percent of the revenue generated from call termination, while the international gateway (IGW) agencies will get 20 percent, interconnection exchanges (ICX) 17.5 percent and the client's operator or access network service (ANS), 22.5 percent.
