BTRC gets 6 expressions of interest for internet filtering

Six local and foreign companies have submitted Expressions of Interest (EOI) to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) in taking the job of filtering the country's internet services. An BTRC official, speaking on condition of anonymity, did not give the names of any of the firms that had submitted the EOIs but said that the commission will form an evaluation committee to scrutinise the documentation.
