Buglas grows to over 80 members, confirms board

Buglas, the German fibre network industry association, has appointed Wilhelm.tel's CEO Theo Weirich the association's president for another two years. Michael Frankle, CTO of M-net, will remain vice-president of the association, and Werner Rapp continues as treasurer. 

Other confirmed board members include Torsten Kuhle from MDCC and NetCologne's MD Timo von Lepel and Patrick Helmes. 

Following its annual meeting, the association also presented its proposal for a new regulatory framework to encourage the roll-out of FTTB/H networks in Germany. Buglas also announced that nine new companies joined the association in the first half of 2017, taking the total to over 80.
