Burgenland offers EUR 600,000 for broadband network construction

Austrian state Burgenland will have a budget of EUR 600,000 available for broadband infrastructure construction under the partial tender of the so-called "Broadband Billion", reported Der Standard. Landtag President Christian Illedits (SPO) said that together with the state's "Broadband Pact", since 2015, EUR 20 million have been invested in Burgenland's broadband infrastructure. Under Burgenland's "Broadband Offensive", 23,500 households have been connected to the internet.
