Burger King introduces mobile payment

Thursday 12 February 2015 | 16:30 CET | News
Burger King has introduced a new service for some restaurants using its free mobile app. Guests can download the menu and choose, select and pay for their order with the app. The app shows a countdown until the food is ready. Burger King is working with Munich start-up Opentabs for the mobile payment system. Users have to register their payment method (direct debit or credit card). The app is available for iOS and Android. The service started with ten restaurants in the south of Germany; seven more will join in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate on 18 February.
