Burkina Faso ratifies financing for national fibre-optic network

The government of Burkina Faso has ratified a credit agreement signed in June with Bank of China Shenzhen Branch to finance phase one of Onatel's national fibre-optic network, reports Ecofin. The Chinese lender is providing 60 percent of the USD 77.35 million financing for phase one of the project, with the remainder secured from BNP Paribas.
