The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) plans to hold an auction for vacant spectrum in the 700 MHz band at the end of October with a view to rolling out 4G services at the start of 2016. "Each operator will be given the opportunity to demonstrate how they would use the offered spectrum to deliver enhanced services to citizens, consumers and businesses in the Virgin Islands, as well as to international visitors," said the TRC in a statement.
