CA collects KES 8.7 bln in revenue in 2015-16, up 20%

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) collected KES 8.7 billion in revenue in the 2015/2016 financial year, up 20 percent from a year earlier, according to The Standard. Most of this came from mobile spectrum fees as providers upgraded their 3G and 4G networks, the regulator said in its annual report. Spectrum fees accounted for 65 percent (KES 7.76 bln) of the total income.
