CA says Kenya needs USD 45 mln to bridge digital divide

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) requires USD 45 million to achieve universal access for communications services, according to its director general, Francis Wangusi. He told a media briefing in Nairobi that 94.4 percent of the population has access to at least basic voice and SMS. He said that Kenya has set a target of achieving full connectivity for the entire population in the next five years.
