CA says pandemic and security incidents slow down Kenyan infrastructure expansion

The Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) says the expansion of telecommunication networks in 202 under-served sub-locations has been slowed down by Covid-19, insecurity and restrictions on aviation, reports Capital News. CA Director-General Mercy Wanjau told the Senate Committee on ICT that contractors in at least eleven areas, mainly in five countiesm had to suspend works after the Kenya Defence Forces insisted that no communications could be mounted in the areas.
