Cable One makes investments in local ISPs Wisper Internet, NextLink

Cable One has invested in ISPs Wisper Internet and NextLink, as it looks to expand into less dense areas near its traditional fixed footprint, LightReading reported. The company has bought a 40 percent stake in Wisper and less than 10 percent of NextLink. Both ISPs are Connect America Fund phase II winners.
