CableLabs joins NYU Wireless to develop 5G technology

NYU Wireless has announced that CableLabs, a nonprofit research consortium for the cable industry, has joined the university research centre as it drives development of the next generation of mobile technology, 5G. CableLabs becomes the twelfth industry affiliate sponsor of the research centre, joining Intel, Samsung, Qualcomm, and others, as the industry starts to evolve beyond 4G and LTE-A.
