Calix to showcase new G.fast, vectoring technologies at BBWF

Gigabit fibre deployment specialist Calix plans to demonstrate its expanded portfolio of copper systems at the Broadband World Forum (BBWF) in London. The company will hold live demonstrations of G.fast bonding technology with Sckipio, delivering broadband speeds of over 1 Gbps over existing copper infrastructure up to around 250 m. Calix will also show the interoperability between Calix G.fast DPUs and modems and those of other vendors and debut its breakthrough VDSL2 system level vectoring (SLV) systems on the Calix E7-2 modular access systems. These can deliver up to 96 vectored ports
